Ok, here's some more work i did recently .

As i was looking through my refference folders yesterday i found an image that captured my eye and thought,  "That would make a cool sculpt !"
So i started this piece. I'm planning to add at least 1 more ape in there. Not sure what species yet:)
It's really small scale.(the sculpt is 3,5 inches tall) Almost like a big chicken egg .
That way i shape the forms a lot faster and the piece has an organic look to it.

Here's the picture i liked and used for refference.

Early stage.

Here's a new full body sculpture i started recently. It's about 11 inches tall and i used monster clay over wire armature. This was actually the bird like character bust i did on a previous post. :)

And here's a photoshopped image of the sculpt. More like a hyena man here :)

My latest attempt at sculpting a real life animal. I wanted to do one of these since i first saw the work of Rembrandt Buggati and Antoine Louis Barrye when i was in New Zealand .

I used Monster clay over aluminum wire armature. It's 9 iches tall from base to tip of the horns.

Here's the first copy out of the mold. I'll probably paint each copy differently as there are too many dog color schemes and patterns out there to study from.

Ok, here's the finished piece. I had so much fun painting it but didn't keep notes of what  colours i used and in what order. So it will be a challenge to do the same paint  job again! :)
It's about 5 inches tall with the base

This pic is from an earlier stage.
